The senior management team has been carefully selected to include individuals who are passionate about the care and welfare of young children. This ensures that our nurseries are happy, nurturing and safe environments for children. All of our senior management team started in the classroom, working directly with the children, and have worked their way up to where they are now.
My name is Philippa Vigor, and I am the founder and CEO of Townsend Montessori Nurseries Ltd. As a working mother of two girls, I know how important it is to feel happy and reassured when you drop off your child at nursery. My aim as CEO is to provide a chain of high-quality day nurseries with friendly, caring and professional staff. The welfare and happiness of the children in our care is our number one priority.
I started at Townsend Montessori as a Room Supervisor and I have worked my way up over 10 years to become Area Manager for the Broadstairs, Margate, Ramsgate, Palm Bay and Herne Bay nurseries.
I started an apprenticeship alongside college to gain my childcare qualification 17 years ago. I have recently completed my BA Honours, passing with a first class.
My experience within my job and as a parent to two teenage children has enabled me to view my work from both a professional and a personal standpoint.
Working for Townsend Montessori has enabled my passion and motivation to grow and shape my career. Our dedication to improving the quality of childcare and learning experiences for children is mutually respected.
I first got into childcare as I have a real passion for helping young children grow and develop and become confident as individuals. I've been with Townsend Montessori for eight and a half years because they pride themselves on providing a clean, welcoming learning environment for the children, as well as having positive relationships with parents, carers, children and staff alike.
I have a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education and Care and a Level 3 Childcare qualification.
My name is Tracey Atkins and I have worked for the company for over 10 years. I have two children, aged 11 and 6.
I am the Accounts Manager for all of our nurseries. My role is very varied; I take care of everything financial in relation to your parent accounts, procurement, and payroll, to name but a few.
I love working for a company which truly believes in providing great quality childcare in amazing settings, giving the best learning experiences for all children. My daughter attended The Grange Montessori; she thoroughly enjoyed her time there and I believe her learning journey there helped her with her start to school life.
