What makes this nursery unique?

About the nursery

As one of our smaller nurseries, our Palm Bay nursery provides your child with a cosy, warm, and caring environment in which they can learn and grow. We are situated on Northdown Road, a convenient location for local parents. We have a large garden with a climbing frame, sand and water play, and a planting area, so the children can explore and learn new skills. Inside, we have two wonderful, bright, fun classrooms in which the children play, learn, and make friends.

We benefit from being just a short walk away from the library and a park, giving the children the opportunity for exciting outings. Both of our classrooms have doors into the garden, giving the children access to play and explore. The children love the fun activities we have on offer here at Palm Bay, which includes out of nursery classes such as weekly yoga, dance, and sport, all carried out by professionals.

All of our dedicated and caring staff are very well-qualified and experienced, consistently furthering their knowledge and skill by attending regular training courses. This ensures your little one gets the best care possible when attending any one of our nurseries.

We were rated “Good” in all areas by Ofsted. The nursery and staff team are now working towards achieving Outstanding in all areas.

“Children play in a bright and interesting environment. Staff provide them with an exciting range of toys and resources, which they are able to independently access to make choices in their play. Children make good progress in their learning.” – Ofsted

My son has been going to The Avenues in Palm Bay for over a year now and absolutely loves it. I would really recommend the nursery/company. I love the Montessori approach as my son has already learned some skills that he can keep with him for life. Very friendly staff and always have good feedback from them about his day.

My 7-year-old daughter went to The Avenues Montessori, Northdown Rd, Margate and loved it there; she was so happy. Now my 2-year-old son goes there and also loves it and is happy. The staff are great with my son; I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Wonderful staff and nursery.

Caterpillars Room: 3 months – 2.5 years

In the Caterpillars classroom we welcome children from the age of three months and children transition into the Butterflies pre-school classroom before their third birthday, dependant on the individual child and their readiness for their next stage. The Caterpillar staff pride themselves on providing a calm, nurturing and caring environment via a variety of different age appropriate areas in the classroom to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Children also have access to a climbing and soft play area for gross motor play. Children in this classroom enjoy lots of songs and rhymes throughout the day and stories in their beautiful book den. The classroom also has a separate area for younger children to enable children to crawl freely surrounded by soft furnishings, providing a home form home environment. In the Caterpillar classroom the children have access to their own private courtyard garden which staff ensure is always fun and exciting. Children enjoy a multitude of different activities in their garden including outdoor snack times, water play, dancing, and stories.

Butterflies room: 2.5 – 5 years

The Butterflies classroom welcomes children from pre-school age and aims to support the children for their next stage being their transition to school.
