Forest Hill Children's Nursery
Four large, beautiful and bright classrooms all on the ground floor.

Our nursery in Forest Hill is conveniently situated on Rojack Road (Off Stansted Road) near Forest Hill train station and high street. We have a very large garden area with a climbing frame, sand and water play, planting area and Separate baby garden. There are four large, beautiful and bright classrooms all on the ground floor.
Our Nursery in Forest Hill opened in 2011. It was rated “Good” in all areas by Ofsted in October 2017. The nursery and staff team are now working towards achieving Outstanding.
Staff teach children good early literacy skills. For example, children know different letter names and sounds and can recognise their names (Ofsted)
The nursery is open all year round Monday to Friday and takes children from 3mth old up to 5 year olds. We offer a variety of sessions to meet your requirements. All of the classrooms have air-conditioning to keep the rooms at a comfortable temperature.
The nursery offers funded places for 2-5 year olds subject to certain criteria.
Our nursery in Forest Hill has a Baby room, Toddler Room, Two year olds room and Pre-School room. The nursery is all on the ground floor and we are lucky to have a large and exciting garden for the children to play in.
Our experienced and highly qualified staff team plan fun and exciting daily activities for the children. Staff continually attend training to update and expand on their knowledge. It is very important for us to ensure that all of our staff are trained in Paediatric first aid.
We will be holding Open Days on the last Friday off every month, starting Friday 23rd February, from 9:30 – 11:30 & 14:00 – 16:00. Come and have a look around our wonderful nursery and meet our amazing staff team. We look forward to seeing you.

Our Owls Room is a large, bright and spacious classroom with access to its own garden. Children are also taken out to the large adventure playground located at the front of the nursery. The separate Montessori room is a lovely space where children are taught on a one to one basis as well as in groups. The nearby child-size toilets ensue that the children are encouraged to be independent.

I have worked in childcare for over 25 years in various settings and have been the Nursery Manager at Forest Hill since 2012.
I have a passion for providing the right care for children and know that children thrive in the right environment. I believe that good relationships with parents play an important part in this, that’s why we include parents in their child’s development and all aspects of the nursery .
I love working for Townsend as it has a family approach and feel to their nurseries, where everyone is welcome and included.
I have worked at Townsend for nearly 2 years. I started working here as a nursery nurse and have progressed here over time to being deputy manager. I enjoy working for Townsend; it’s a wonderful company and nursery. The best part of the job is meeting a variety of children from mixed backgrounds and being able to watch them all develop and grow through the rooms.
I have been with the company for 6 years, starting off as a Nursery Nurse then promoting to Room Leader, and working my way to third-in-charge before being promoted to Assistant Manager.
I've always had the passion and joy of being around children so I didn't waste any time after leaving school to get a childcare qualification and start my journey as a professional. I enjoy working at this nursery because it allows me to create an environment that is stimulating, encouraging, and safe for children. The diversity is positive and I enjoy building valuable relationships with parents.
